Addam's Family Organ

This is a lovely organ from Ara, who is making an Addam's Family Mansion. It's for Lurch. The keys actually move, and something may or may not be living in the back of it...

"There are a few details to note.... the back of the organ has the Addams Family crest. I took it from the first movie when they showed it on one of the graves. Their credo is "We gladly feast on those who would subdue us". Not sure if you can see but the crest contains three heads (all of a lioness I think) where the first head is angry, the next has a foot sticking out of its mouth and the last is smiling with its tongue out!! So funny, I was laughing when I finally put the credo and the crest together in my head..... I love set designers.... such a sense of humor."

Tickled To Tears By Butterflies

This beautiful fairy scene was created by Surreal Garden Miniatures (The same woman who made the butterflies in a previous post) and is called 'Tickled to Tears By Butterflies'.

A young butterfly fairy has an important duty- to sprinkle her ultraviolet (only visible to butterflies and fairies) butterfly-attracting fairy dust on flowers, so that they may pollenate via butterfly. As this weightless little fairy is figuring out her coordination of her new wings, she trips on a fairyring of mushrooms throwing her wings out of sync, and falling to the ground. She loses her grip on her fairydust bag and wand, splashing the fairydust all over herself. The butterflies quickly cling to her- leaving the helpless young fairy pinned to the ground getting tickled to tears by the butterflies.

Chish and Fips.

Made by me, Livinginthepast. I took the photo next to a jar of tartare sauce for some perspective on size!

Dutch Kitchen

A dutch kitchen. 1:12 scale model yet it could almost be real!

The making of the kitchen wall, bench and sink. "I made the kitchen cabinets using 3 mm plywood, for the drawers and doors I used 2 mm plywood. "

How Can I Improve?

How can I improve Fluffy Bricks? How could I make it so that you enjoy it more? Or more people are interested in submitting photos or sharing the link to the blog with their friends or forums? Or make it more appealing to non miniaturists who just like awesome photos? Any suggestions would be fantastic.

The Making of Godzilla

Photos of The Making of the Godzilla Scene that's the entry below this one.

Oh No, It's Godzilla!!

Remember Annie, who made the lovely bar? (see previous entries)

She also made a Godzilla scene!

Another Interesting Container

By the same club as the previous entry, but I think it was by a different miniaturist.

It's a dressing table in a makeup bag. Click to see it in closer detail!

An Unusual Container

This is an 'unusual container' miniature made by one of the members of the club I go to. An attic in a pretty heart shaped memory storage box! Click to see in more detail!

Miniature Butterflies!

These miniature butterflies are by "God's Flying Flowers".
They're 12 times smaller than real butterflies yet are anatomically correct. The wings aren't done with any external colour mediums, just clay.

Susan Boyle Doll

By UneekDollDesigns.
And Susan is for sale here.

"How I loved watching Susan Boyle on You Tube...I bet my husband and I have watched that video at least 50 or more times... I think it is fascinating how confident she was in front of the somewhat scary Simon Cowell - she didn't seem a bit intimidated!

I told my husband what no one would come out and say was because she was not considered beautiful by worldly standards, and was older to boot, well, she couldn't have been any good could she? I cheered for her over and over when I heard her sing... In fact, I even got teary eyed- why? Because she was showing everyone that beauty comes in different packages, and not to judge something because it isn't carried in a pretty and sparkling package.

In honor of Susan, I creatd my own Susan Boyle character miniature. I had a lot of fun making her, and I hope you enjoy her!"
